Our Story
In 2023, a dream became reality. A dream that we had been holding on to for almost 5 years. It started with us, a family living in southern Spain with the idea to make a place for people to come together. We wanted to share special recipes, perfected as they were passed down generations.
As time passed, plans for our restaurant kept growing. Each time we visited a new place or country, we would gather the things we liked most from each; slowly shaping our Café and its story. That is why Tahití has such a grand international & multiethnic kitchen; strewn across the world.
When we moved to Kenya, Tahití started unfolding before our eyes – we had finished working on our website, menu, and, well everything else you would need for a restaurant. After months of hard work and waiting, Tahití Café finally opened!

The Word Tahití
Where we got our name from is a mystery. Surprisingly, it was the first thing we ever decided about our restaurant – it just fit. Back then, I had no idea that Tahití was a country. I thought it would make a nice name for a restaurant, that’s all. And since that day, it has stuck.
But Tahití is more than just a name. The country itself can be seen as a tranquil place, rich in culture, secluded in a sea of emptiness. Likewise, Tahití Café is a place known to few, where nature thrives and beauty is abundant.
From Farm to Fork
Tahití café has an international cuisine, influenced by the many places and countries we have visited as a family. Most veggies are grown in our little shamba, while others are bought from the most trusted suppliers with the freshest products in Tigoni.
Our dishes are made from exceptionally tasty family recipes, given a little twist by our talented chefs and served to you just in time to satisfy your hunger.

How you can get involved
If you have any special family recipes and you would like to let the world try them – although you don’t want to open a whole new restaurant – send your recipe to us with your name & phone number and it might just become part of the meal of the week. If it does, we will add your meal to our menu!
